Dolphins are on the same (emotional) level as us

Dolphins are right there on the food chain with us, maybe we share our position with even more animals. Recently a research has shown that dolphins go through the same developments form child to adult as we do. They are smart and have a self-awareness, they can recognize themselves in the mirror. Where other species ignore the mirror or think it is another member of their kind.

There have been cases where dolphins come to the rescue when a human is under attack from a shark. Maybe you’ve seen it, but the dolphins rescued the surfer while he was being attacked by a shark. Sharks are not a part of their diet, so why did they do this?

A lot of research has been done when it comes to the self-awareness, I looked up this video from CNN for you to watch. It shows footage of dolphins recognizing themselves in the mirror and checking themselves out. It is a fun video to watch, who doesn't love dolphins, always laughing. They do seem to understand us.
